I have a 2×2.66Ghz Quad-Core Intel Xeon Xserve running Mac OS X Server 10.6.8 that has the Warning light flashing rapidly on the front panel. Server Admin is unable to show Volumes or Share Points under File Sharing. The logs in Console indicate multiple items malfunctioning or crashing, including:
It seems the vast majority who see the error “CANNOT_LOAD_BUNDLE_ERR” in Server Monitor made the mistake of trying to use Server Monitor with a Mac Mini. That isn’t the case here, and all of the answers I have found come down to don’t use Server Monitor on anything but an Xserve, which I am already in compliance with. I am hoping that if I can get Server Monitor properly running, I can sort out what is malfunctioning, and at least advise management as to the condition of the server.
Hi,
Where can i download Safari for 10.6.8 (has been deleted by a mistake)
I’m on an iMAC 10.6.8 and cannot get Time Machine Backups out of the Trash Bin even using the Terminal.
Any suggestions?
I was not on top of my game a week ago! Went to download an old version of the kindle reader app on my desktop since they changed the kindle app to only work with 10.7 and above. I have 10.6.8 os X. Of course I did not read the privacy policy nor the terms of use. Ok, so I got my kindle app. Next time I went to put google.com into my browser, some weird search engine box came up and the URL string was strange. It started with //search.myppes.com/?c=6&v etc etc etc. I closed Firefox and when I re-opened, it opened with the same thing. I freaked. I found the myppes folder in my applications, dumped that, reset all my Safari and Firefox preferences, got rid of extension, emptied caches, etc. BUT today I opened a folder on my desktop and saw the circle spinning and it said, briefly, Myppes —— SO it is not gone. The Safe Mac and Adware Medic have been merged with Malwarebytes but that program will only work on 10.7 and I have 10.6.8 Is there some other program for removing malware, adware, etc that will work with 10.6.8???? HELP!!!!
Hi All,
Need some urgent assistance.
I’ve got a room full of iMacs (combination of Core2Duos and i3s, all running 10.10.5) with Logic 10.2 on them.
They authenticate login through a Mac Mini Server (running 10.6.8).
I’ve set a Workgroup up with the user’s name and they can log in as managed users.
I’m hitting a load of issues that when logging in and running Logic 10.2, the software hangs when checking the plugins (beachball of doom).
Yet, when I log in locally as admin, all is good.
Whilst I’m in “charge” of our server, I’m not an network person, so could do with some advice tbh.
My main work-around at present is to set the autologin as Admin, and the users can use the software. Not ideal by any means.
Help
Dan
What is the most recent version of safari that I can use on a iMac running OS X 10.6.8?
Hello
I often have this email back, when I am writing to my wife, only to my wife
Delivery Notification: Delivery has timed out and failed
I am sending the email to her, and myself.
This works for me, not for her.
We use the same Airport and the same DSL line.

Does Yosemite improve the speed of MacBook?
I managed to inherit a Mac Pro 1,1 with Snow Leopard server.
Excited about this, I wanted to set it up on the home network for web, email and file hosting. I installed a new copy of the OS and ran all updates. No errors in the beginning. Now, I have a no-ip account linking the domain to my server. However, I don’t have an SSL certificate and really don’t feel like spending money on one for personal hosting. However, I have noticed immediate issues with webmail on the server always bouncing back with “incorrect username password” After doing some investigating. It appears there is known issues with Apple’s mail server and non SSL connections? Is this correct? I remember reading reports in the past how Apple was never “strong” in the server market and a lot of the server software being a problem from the get go? Was Snow Leopard a decent server in it’s day? I am very interested in getting this to function correctly. However, my Unix is very weak. Any suggestions?
Also, please no comments on power consumption and cost to run. I had a Dell Poweredge 1900 running in a back room for a few years and that thing was very power hungery. I have zero concern with running cost.
Would just really love to have a working Apple Server. The web server portion appears to be running with no issues.
How to download the content of my old mac into a new one?
I have moved a sharepoint onto a different volume (Snow Leopard server) and suddenly, on clients, Spotlight is not working for some folders. It is a collection of images so it’s quite important. How can I fix that?
i discovered citrix on my laptop. how did it get there and how can i uninstall it?
i am having issues being locked up by spinning color wheel, possibly caused by low battery wich has caused improper shut down. I tried to run disk utility but am locked up again. Any advice?
CCan’t get disk out or get past the apple screen with a circle going round and round the disk was from my MacBook Pro and it was fine until I put the stupid disk in to reset my password
I am upgrading to el captain from snow leopard which doesn’t have icloud, will that be an issue when I perform the install ?
What is the difference between memory and storage. An upgrade to El Capitan requires 8.8GB of storage. How can I determine how much I have. My imac has 4GB of memory. Confused about 8.8GB storage.
